How I managed to get more than 13,000 Instagram followers within 10 days.

In this post, I am not bragging about how I managed to score 13,000 Instagram followers within 10 days. But to acknowledge the fact that there are multiple ways in which this feat can be achieved.
When I started my Instagram page ( isntagram/wordsapp_ ), I had no idea about how I am going to make this big. I came across different methods in which I could have grown my followers. Just as a case study, I will list it down.

1. Buying followers

This might sound under the belt but it is one of the most affective ways. By paying hardly a dollar one can get around 1000 followers. But in this case, most of these followers are bot running at servers, which will follow a profile and like it’s post at certain intervals.

This will only help a user to show page visitors that this page is having good number of followers, and under the illusion of this page being good, people might follow that page. The reverse psychology works pretty well here. While exploring this, I came to know about few Instagram handles which can crack you such a deal. One of such profile "social_media_pr_service" offers rates as less as $1.5 for 1000 “genuine” followers and with lots of other variants. One can easily get many likes, followers, story views on their Instagram posts.

2. Farming followers

You can farm followers by using python scripts. Few simple lines of codes will run an automated service which will like, comment and follow other users on your behalf. Such codes are deeply integrated with Instagram APIs and can do above mentioned with an ease. From following users to unfollowing such. Everything is possible with these tools. One of such tools I came across was based on InstaPy, an API which will uses selenium automated testing tools to farm on your behalf. Few drawbacks of this methodology are that you need to enter your ID, password in the code. Also, this is time consuming and results are not that satisfying. With my little knowledge with this, it can be emphasised that one needs to follow around 5000 profiles to get at-least 1000 follow backs.

3. Using Facebook/Instagram Ads effectively.

The method which helped me the most. The key here is to target correct audience. Many users who promote their posts fail to analyse their audience and end up spending money for nothing. One needs to observe the behaviour of their audience and find correct geographical regions from where one can get most of the promotion. For me that sweet spot was India/Pakistan/Bangladesh. These sub-Indian continent prospered me with great number of followers and response on my page. It’s been a run for the money journey here.
