Aleksa's Book Review: Competitive Intelligence

Yes, it's an endlessly drab and not particularly interesting week, but one I must go through nonetheless. It's CI, counter-intelligence and all manner of business-centric applications of the intelligence reads I've had all those years ago. This one, particularly, speeds through all the subjects in that field with remarkable pace.

The book goes into how most businesses don't have a planned form of counter-intelligence, even though they have very pronounced offensive capabilities for penetrating other firms. Naturally, this results in the logical conclusion of Chinese interests easily stealing away the competitive advantages of US businesses.

I'm very happy with how the book goes into everything from keeping tabs on competitors to standard operating procedures for making sure your company doesn't leak. When intelligence works, you shouldn't notice it and the same applies for books that strengthen you without taking up mental space.
