INTRODUCTION POST
Hello steemit! :)
I guess the first thing to do when you join the steemit community is to make an introduction post for all of you to get a feeling for what kind of a person I am, what I like and what I intend to add to the platform. So here it is! My name is Jan, I'm 21 years and am from Slovenia. I'm am a music enthusiast, some music groups I love include Alice in chains, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, STP, the Beatles, Pink Floyd just to name a few. In high school I was in two bands, nothing special we played a few gigs here and there, though I am not currently in a band. When I was younger I always had an interest in computers and technical stuff, but kind of pushed that away as I discovered the importance of meaningful relationships and how technology can actually make us more distant from each other and ourselves. I spent some time after high school not sure about what I should! do in life which was not the most productive period in my life, but now I've found it. I started learning programming on the internet, some html and css (Treehouse is a wonderful website!) and found it really interesting . Now I'm studying at college for IT and it's great!
Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies cought my eye because just as I started looking to buy a new graphics card the price of bitcoin skyrocketed and therefore fucked my chance at buying one in the near future. The prices of graphics cards have came down a bit now. Anyway I found @avilsd on youtube and watched his video about steemit, it totally hooked me (thank you avilsd for great videos and information). I lurked a bit around steemit and found that the philosophy of the website and people really resonate with me. I think this website is radically different from other social media, and I believe it helps with bringing people together.
So here I am :D What I want to add to the community is make videos playing original music, covers of songs, write about philosophy and about tech. I'm not quite sure yet how things are gonna come together but I guess we will see.
