Namaste (Hello) Steemians

'Seize the opportunity when it comes to your way'. Well, for me it came in the form of Steemit. One of my friend introduced me to the community. And it was @faltumanxe, a very active blogger ,who gave a detailed explanation about the whole thing. Instantly, I knew that I was on the right platform. I consider Steemit to be the starting point for my career as a writer.

Now let me introduce myself. I am Medha from Assam, a state having a rich cultural heritage. It is located in the north-eastern part of India and the river Brahmaputra flows through it. Owing to the different cultures and nature of people of India (land of diversity), I have been accustomed to learn something new every time I meet someone. Steemit is the place where I can interact and learn from people all over the globe. I am a student of English literature and pursuing my under graduation from Darrang College under the Gauhati University in Assam itself. I am a keen reader and I like books ranging from poetry, novels- thrillers, detectives; and non-fiction. Beside this, I also like listening songs and humming them, though I am not that good in singing.

I have always wanted to express my ideas and bring a change in the society through writing, we all know there's a saying, '' The pen is mightier than the sword ''. I started writing poems, articles and stories few years back but was not able to reach a large reading mass. Now I have got the chance, I will try my best and contribute writings worth-reading and entertaining. In my subsequent post, I am going to present articles on various issues and topics, and poems too. Hope everyone will go through my posts and give me feedback.
