Hello Steemit!

I never thought introducing myself could be so difficult! I was born and raised in Kansas although I lived in Iowa for a brief time. My husband and I met when I was 15 and although we didn't make it through high school as a couple, once I graduated and he finished his time in the Army, we reconnected. We know have 5 boys (ages 9, 8, 6, 4 & 1) whom I have the pleasure to home school. My boys are passionate about wrestling and love doing typical boy things, like fishing, getting muddy and playing with creatures they find at the pond.

These past few years we have gotten into homesteading, and let me tell you it has been quite an adventure! We have had lots of ups & downs and a lot of learning along the way. We currently have about 20 chickens, 4 ducks, 3 dogs, 3 cats & 7 goats. We have tried several times at gardening but it is near impossible with goats who think that fences are for getting out of.

I am looking forward to using Steemit more, with a goal of eventually leaving Facebook altogether. This seems like a great platform for social media and who wouldn't like to get paid to be online? I can't wait to start following blogs and interacting with you ;)
