Hi, Steemit Community! This is my first post.

Hello everyone,

My name is Miranda, and I'm keeping this first one short. Here's a quick rundown similar to the ones you're forced to do in classes, meetings and the like on the first day:

° I'm from Texas.

° I write for a living, but don't let that excite you. My posts will primarily be a way for me to ramble on about things I can't say anywhere else, and my grammar can be mediocre when writing for myself.

° I swear too much, and sarcasm is my go-to form of communication. It doesn't translate well online.

° I'm a part-owner of two godforsaken chihuahuas.

° Reading is something I could do anywhere at any time.

° I know nothing about cryptocurrency or blockchain, but I'm ready to learn.

° Everyone needs to visit Disneyland at least once in their life. That's just a fact of life.

° This is the first blog I've ever committed to.

Other online communities haven't really worked out for me for reasons that vary from one platform to the next, but I've been reading articles and checking out the art on Steemit for a while now — and I dig it.

So, I'm starting this blog as a personal outlet. I'm going to schedule time every week to post and sort of check-in with myself. Freelancing is the only thing that works for me, but it's still stressful and hard sometimes. I need to remember myself and goals throughout all the mindless and soul-crushing gigs I take on to pay bills.

I'll get where I want to be eventually, and this will be my record of it. Follow along, debate and share advice with me if you want. Hopefully, I've found the community I've been looking for!
