Hello from my garage/art studio in Denver!
Hello Steemit,
My name is Andrew Davis, I'm an artist currently living in Denver, Colorado. Originally from Virginia, I made the pilgrimage out west earlier this year soley for the reason of making traffic more trafficy. I'm an art school drop out who has been making things for at least a decade, probably more, who knows really, my memory isn't what it use to be. I'm a mural artist, a portrait artist; a little design here, a little surrealism there. Besides making paintings I also enjoy writing short stories as well as ridiculous reviews of below-average restaurants and terrible movies.
To give you a better sense of what any of that even means, here's the same thing, just through self portraits:
Thanks for looking and well met!
Welcome Andrew :) Steem(it) definitley is a great place for artwork, you will like it here! Resteeming you for a little boost to your start! Greets, @theaustrianguy
Thank you!
Welcome to steemit family! Good luck! I am sure that you will fully enjoy your journey here:)
Thanks! This place is definitely intruiging.
Hello, Andrew, and Welcome to Steemit.
As an artist, you have one of the most attractive resources on Steemit. Photography and art are 2 of the larger feeds on this platform. And with interesting images such as those above, you clearly have plenty to bring to Steemit.
Below are a few basic points of advice re posting on Steemit.
1 – Longer posts are more lucrative than short posts. If you make a post of 20–30 paragraphs, it's more likely to earn rewards.
2 – Include some photos, images or graphs, to complement the text.
3 – Make sure the text and photos are formatted properly, so that your post looks attractive and appealing.
4 – Be yourself.
5 – Be interesting and informative.
6 – Create quality content. Steemit is intended to be a platform of quality content. (You will see many insignificant posts with meager content and no quality. Most of those of posts [called “shitposts” by Steemit whale Stellabelle] will earn few rewards and soon pass into oblivion.)
7 – Get online and start curating. Read various posts, comment on those posts you find interesting, and upvote those posts. That’s the best way to attract followers.
Hope this helps for now. Good luck, and Full Steem Ahead!
Thanks for the tips! I look forward to contributing more.
Welcome to Steemit @andrewdavisart!
I wish you much success and hope you find Steemit to be as rewarding and informative as I have.

Wow, this is incredible!! I found your post in the Greeters Guild discord and I am glad that I did. Your art is incredible. Keep up the good work and don't hesitate to ask any questions if you have them.

That is awesome! That's what we want 😊 Looking forward to seeing some more artwork from you.
Hey man great art!!! Have you heard of phaneros art gallery!
Definitely! I'm familiar with a lot of the artists that show there and there's no doubt a ton of amazing work. I saw that Hannah Faith Yata is going to be showing there soon. Her work is amazing in person.
They are amazing people! I love them and their work tremendously!
Amazing work @andrewdavisart :) It is amazing to see such quality artwork floating on the Steemit blockchain. Dope man!!!
I want to have the chance to welcome you to the Steemit platform with open arms and let you know that I honestly appreciate your art! I also am a Mid Atlantic native, from Eastern Maryland, so we at one point were close to some extent. It is just awesome to see someone so close to my home doing such awesome things!

Thanks for the warm welcome and the kind words. I've been doing a bit of traveling recently, cross-country road trip from VA to CA and somehow ended up close to the middle. I think people can smell the east-coast on me though.
I travelled to CO last summer, so I know what you mean. It's like being a green hat with an orange bill LOL. You are welcome for the words by the way, it's just honesty. You are really talented! Where did you land at btw?
Well, it was kind of a meandering trip. My girlfriend and I wanted a change of pace so we quit our jobs and packed everything we owned into a car and headed west. The original idea was to live in Long Beach, CA, but we got the travel bug and ended up going to San Diego, Temecula, Phoenix, Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Taos, Austin, Dallas and then by the time we got to Denver we decided stay for awhile. Been here for about a month, but we want to do it again in a couple years and meander around the northwest for awhile.
That is some really great art!
