Introducing ourselves

Me and my son started to explore Steem Monsters this early morning. I have read from it but did not figure out what it is about before. But first things first.

In summer 2018 when we have been traveling around as a family of four from Germany through Austria, Romania, Magyar and Poland my son got introduced to Magic The Gathering (MTG) by a friend from Luxemburg we made nearly at the beginning of our travel in Austria. We shared a gread part of our route as we found out that www.freilerner-festival.de had been our mutual destination. We had a great time together! Before we farewell each other in Budapest, being on our route back to Luxemburg and Germany, we snatched our first Welcome Packs at one of the two Metagame stores and played on our own more and more with contagious enthusiasm.

So why am I telling you all this? This morning, after waking up way to early, I got curious enough by accidentaly reading some articles about Steem Monsters when my son was still sleeping and purchased a Starter Pack via some crypto currency I possessed by my love of experimentation some time ago. Before I actually started reading the gameplay how-to my son woke up as well to go to the loo and did not find his way to get to bed again. Instead he joined in with me and immidiately discovered some card graphics on my screen. Together we read the how-to and had an easy time to figure out the team building process for our first battle from our experience with MTG. After having quick successes in the league of Novices I decided to let him play on his own. Though not with my cards LOL. So I helped him set up his own account and surrendered my laptop to him for the rest of the day.

Maybe two hours ago I suggested to write an introductory posting for him to tell the comunity how grateful we are for so much fun on sheer crypto. And maybe by producing some genuine content on our jurney throug Splinterland, we may raise some pocket money for purcasing Booster Packs. He is eager to get some. Yet even without it is only three days until he is going to get some rewards (if we got that figured out right). So this is the account he is playing Steem Monsters with.

I absolutaly did not expect him to have his own steemit account with eight years, so it is me who is going to administrate it. However, I am exitingly looking forward to dedicate it to him one day when he choses to possess it.
