Hi Steemit. My name is Pavel. I was always interested in art and architecture cities, which is why I recently moved to Saint Petersburg.

Petersburg it is impossible to describe the man who never was in this city. In my blog I will show you the city's architecture 1700-1800 years and as much as possible try to convey the atmosphere of the streets.

About Steemit I learned recently. I really liked that there are no boundaries between countries! You can share and discuss their ideas and thoughts with the world. So here I am!

A bit of history about St. Petersburg

For the construction of St. Peterburga 1 Peter invited artists from France, Italy and many others. and each of them had to teach a few Russian. Thus, almost all of the first architects who built St. Petersburg, were foreigners, who came at the invitation of the Emperor and entered into a contract with him. That is why among the names of the first architects of St. Petersburg so much the non-Russian: Domenico Trezzini, Carlo Bartolomeo Rastrelli, Johann Braunstein, Francesco Fontana, Johann Gottfried schadel, Georg Johann Mattarnovi, Jean-Baptiste Alexandre Le blond.

Thanks for this.
I didnt even realize there were two passwords.
Ive still got alot of time to spend on steemit.

Hello artcity, I like your photos. Maybe you could give them even a little bit more impact by doing slight corrections. For example it would boost them a lot if you would straighten them a bit. Especially the ones who have straight 90 degree buildings in the middle of the picture (like the second one in the posting above). Please go on posting, I would be happy to see more of that...

Greetings Pavel, welcome, we hope to see more. Thanks for sharing.

I wish we had architecture like that here in the USA, but I really enjoy seeing these pics! Thanks for sharing!
And thank you for following me, very kind of you! :)

What beautiful mash up of different architecture, you can see Greek influence along with Victorian and Muslim.
