The AMA of SteemIt

Hello fellow Steemians!

I’ve created this account as the Ask Me Anything of SteemIt (AMA)!

The goal is to bring awareness of this great platform and onboard the people who matter to us onto SteemIt! The best to do this is to let others know about this platform where their audiences already are which typically outside of SteemIt right now.

How will it work?

This is how the AskMe account will work:

• The Posting Key will be given to the participate to conduct their AMA.
• They can elect to have their Liquid Rewards go to a Charity of their choice, or themselves.
• They will provide verification via whatever social media they currently use.

If I know of someone, or want to make a AMA Request?

Yes! Of course. Please use the #AMArequest tag in your post and the title: [AMA Request] Name Person Here. donate it to charity of your choice, you can pick.

Post Schedule:

As we get going here we’ll be posting a future AMA SteemIt schedule of people we have lined up!
Coming soon...reach us via [email protected]

I'm wondering about some technical questions of this and maybe figured out a solution to it.

Others who receive the posting key will be able to post and edit comments/posts of anyone and everyone in the past. The only way I can think of this working out is if the posting key keeps getting changed for every participant who's turn is to do an AMA.

Why not just post like other accounts projects, gain a following and re-steem other AMA's? Are you a new member or an existing Steemian? Where is the safety that you won't just go quite at one point and start powering down into an exchange?

Yeah, why is the owner not identifying themselves?

@pfunk First of all, this account is run by me @steemitqa :) . I've been trying to figure out the best way to do all this.

@acidyo thanks for the questions. You are right that the keys would be shared amongst participates. I guess this account is really for the non-steemian, so to speak. I'm still working out how to handle the keys aspect.

Are you a new member or an existing Steemian?

@steemitqa is me running this :)

Ahh okay lol, you hadn't mentioned it at all :D

What happens when @askme account becomes a WHALE?

It's a good question. Not sure. Maybe, it can support the people who do the AMA and their posts going forward.

Nice idea. - Let's bring all the good stuff from Reddit to Steemit. :-D

Thanks @capitalism I already have been trying to poach from Reddit :P At first it's most likely going to be Steemians to start, but the goal is to expand this outside SteemIt to really drive growth :) Thx for the comment.

P.S
The first AMA might be a guy who got robbed for $15,000 using LocalBitcoins! Stay tune!

This is a great idea, but...

The Posting Key will be given to the participate to conduct their AMA

Don't do this

.
With the Steem API being so flexible, you can easily get some cool and smart person (ahem) to code you up something simple to redirect their access.

It is always far too risky to share keys, even among friends and family! On the blockchain key access is account ownership.

We've already begun!

Will certainly be taking your suggestion into account for future AMAs!

Nooooooooooooooooo!

you remind me of me with this comment...

Really cool idea, thanks for doing this!

Very interesting concept... I might volunteer for an AMA myself... Have to thing about it.
