Laying myself bare

It is in my nature to always be brutally honest. To start with, talking about oneself is the easiest and hardest topic to talk about. Distilling a life into the most meaningful facts, events, and laying them all bare before judgmental eyes to critique for better or worse is a frightening undertaking. On the cooler side of the pillow, the self is a near inexhaustible source of unique history, ideas, creativity, and conflicts. No two lives are the same yet despite this, people are far more similar than they are different all things considered. Truly knowing another person may never be possible, for how many people even know themselves, but that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t try. I will do my best to relate my life to you as honestly as I am able. Where our life stories parallel let us empathize with each other, and where they diverge let us sympathize. Let the madness begin…

My name is Att3ro, pronounced “at-tair-o”, it is obvious that this is not my actual name, it is my gamer handle. I can’t help it, I really like the name, plus I like to have bit of anonymity, as flimsy as it may be. Plus the meaning I think is pretty cool, it comes from Latin meaning destroy or weaken, plus a few more related meanings. I like it because it is related in meaning to the meaning of my actual name, which I am not ready to share. We haven’t become good enough friends yet. One more detail about selected name, I got it from one of my favourite TV series, Stargate, more specifically, Stargate Atlantis. In the series there was this powerful subspace weapon which could be used to destroy ships as they entered hyperspace. The show was cool, the episode was cool, the name was cool, so being the nerd that I am I took it for myself.

Honestly honesty is my honest downfall. I try to be very open about myself and what I think and what I feel. Like how nervous I am about even writing this introduction. I am not a very good writer. But even though I am nervous, I am actually very excited about being on Steemit!

So just a little more useful information about me, beyond my apparent self esteem issues, I am a college student, I am a Spanish & French Co-Major so I am taking language classes constantly, you would think I would be less awkward, I am also an admirer of and want to be streamer on twitch. I don’t know if I will ever get off the ground, but I definitely enjoy playing my video games and talking to anyone who stops in to watch.
