Introducing myself to Team Australia
Hey Steemians,
I have been on here a couple months but recently found out about PAL Team Australia and really think its a nice bunch of people. For that reason I want to make a Introduction Video to introduce myself to the Team.
So I have a fairly technical background in engineering and design. I have contributed to several engineering projects over the years and also am currently working in a team of international researchers and engineers trying to solve the issues of plastic waste in Eastern Europe. I love science and technology, I cant imagine my life with out it. I also love learning everything... it doesn't matter if its sports, physics, IT or yoga... I just love to learn and quite often this is a huge distraction for me.
I am also completing my post grad at the Czech Technical University in Prague. My origins are however in Canberra, Australia.
One interesting fact about myself is that I recently submitted a patent for a small scale PET plastic recycling machine. Technically making me officially an inventor.
Parallel to my career I am a very spiritual and passionate person. I strongly believe in Buddhism and mindfulness. I have partially completed my Dharma studies and endeavour to complete them before I turn 30. :P
So I hope you have a bit of insight into who I am and are keen to follow me.

Great to see you come out with an intro post! I also love science and tech, wish I studied it more throughout school/uni but now just doing personal learning. Same with spiritual learning. Was tempted to do a metaphysics degree but it is very personal, so I will continue my own research and journey.
My parents were born in the Czech and I have some family there so I may come down and visit soon.

I would of loved metaphysics, you should talk to @nathenial and @ethjunkie about it. Those two love philosophy and metaphysics. :P

Hi @beery. Your blog sounds like a great mix of content. I am a designer as well and I am so happy to see more and more artists coming into this platform.
Are you gonna share a bit from your Dharma studies? I've never heard about this, although I'm into spiritual practices, I don't know that much about Buddhism.
I always thought there should be a job for people who just want to study outside of academia. I think we would be well off if that was the case.
Anyway. This is the first time I find your posts, so, welcome to this platform! You've got yourself a new follower ;)

Absolutely! I would love to share some lessons from my Dharma, Its such an essential part of my being now and passing these lessons on is a must.
Haha yes, if only full time student was a profession... would be great.
