RE: Hi there. I have devoted my life to health. It's my dream to help everyone live forever!
Jack, welcome to the Steemit clan. I can relate to your post. Way back in the early forties ( I was born 1940) my Mohawk grandmother's house was filled with every wild herb she could find,. In her garden grew the most delicious vegetables.
She was always busy. When she had the time she would take me along. I only wish I had paid more attention.
I don't want to live forever. Heck when I crawled out of bed this morning,,, the only part of me that didn't hurt, was my tongue.
Wow thats really cool Billy about your Grandmother! Do you have any herbal medicine tips for me that you may have learned along the way?
I wish I had paid more attention to what Gram talked about. I do remember her giving me willow twigs to chew on, plantain juice to take the sunburn pain away, coal oil, brown sugar and sulphur powder to ease a sore throat, smoke blown into my ear for an ear ache. The sweat of an axe to kill ringworm. It is sad what one forgets of those days as they evolve.
Thank you for your reply. Billytwohearts
Wow thats fantastic Billtwohearts!! These are all similar to the ways that I heal myself of any ailments. I believe it is very important to catch the slightest thing (problem) before it snowballs into something much larger. Also new science is coming out about neuroplasticity of the brain. This means no matter how old or damaged our brains are we can repair it and grow new cells. Also herbs that can help such as Ginkgo Biloba, Grow some Gotu Kola near a wet patch/pond (loves wet feet). The leaf of these plants even look like a brain with 2 cerebral hemispheres. The Chinese who love in the areas that Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola grew say that if you eat just 2 leaves a day you can live to 100yo. Much love Billy Two Heart.
