Hello Steemit!!! Happy 4:20 pm (it's 4:20 somewhere). I am Bitnerd! I am a Medical Marijuana patient and have over 8 years experience with growing!

I have struggled with PTSD for over a decade. I was one of those patients that absolutely nothing would help. I've been through a cornucopia of psychiatric medications only to be disappointed from the lack of relief or downright ill from the horrible side effects I was faced with. Marijuana has been the only thing that actually works for me, it gives me very little bad side effects while relieving a major portion of my symptoms. I am no longer struggling to get through the day due to mass amounts of anxiety. I am able to eat and sleep on a more regular basis and I no longer plan out my day in order to avoid the most amount of people. I am majorly thankful for the opportunity to utilize Cannabis as a medication and feel like it has given a major portion of my life back.

The funny thing is, Medical MJ has also given me another giant gift: A hobby! Something that I would've never been interested in if it wasn't for my Medical Cannabis Card. I love growing my own medication! I treat it as if it is my own laboratory and am constantly striving to learn more about my plants and how to get them to grow faster and yield more. I have gone from starting out with soil plants and seeds to a perpetually-harvested Hydroponic Scrog grow. Sounds fancy, I know!! It was quite the upgrade. I was able to decrease the amount of time between harvests by over 50%! This meant a harvest every month.

My goals with Steemit: As I progress I plan to share many gardening guides with the Steemit community! I will teach you how to completely grow from start to finish, each guide showing a step of the way. After that, I'll show you how to cure your buds and then process portions of your harvest into old school half melt hash or honeycomb BHO wax that is sure to produce some major couch-lock!
