Hello Everyone,

I am new to Steemit and looking forward to interacting with many of you here!

I am a poet and love art and creative expressions. My pen dances on paper and I embrace the flow. I value authenticity and think it is the key to loving ourselves and loving one another. I believe in the God of love who sees all people as beloved children and I seek to express the heart of God through my writing.

I am from the United States, born in California and grew up in Arizona. Hiking, gardening, cooking, art, writing, and being in nature are some of my hobbies. I love hosting people and one day hope to run a farm retreat center for people from all over the world to come and experience rest in nature and genuine community without distraction. I love bringing people together, especially strangers.

I got married when I was 18 years old to my high school sweetheart. We have been married over 10 years now. It is crazy to look back and see who we were then and who we are now!

My husband and I have two young kids. Being a mother is the hardest thing I have ever done, and I have become a new person through the process. It was as if I died when they were born but have since come into new life. They are my inspiration, my joy, my reminder to be in the present moment. They are my unexpected teachers.

In my early 20’s I traveled around the world doing humanitarian work and I fell in love with the whole world. Then my husband and I moved to Beijing, China and lived there for 5 years. I loved living abroad, meeting people from around the world, and experiencing different cultures and perspectives. Though I am a citizen of the United States, I see myself more as a citizen of the world. I desire to build bridges instead of walls. Much of my writing seeks to inspire unity, hope, and understanding between peoples.

Though I have been blogging and writing poetry since high school, I have only started sharing my poetry with the world since early this year. By the end of the year I should have a couple poetry books published. You can find my writings on the following platforms:
