"Karuk"
it's a fresh water fish which we use to fish them when we were young! A resilient fish which can travel out of water and survive until it reaches another pond or river.
Locally known as "Karuk" or "ikan Puyu". It's scientific name is "anabas testudineus" and can grow to 10 inches in length! My taste recollection is a bit muddy (probably didn't clean it thoroughly) but meaty & sweet. The cat usually gets the best of it at the end of the day!!
