I spent too much time Lurking and Not enough posting. But I am here Now.

Hey Everyone,
I wanted to introduce myself to this Amazing community. I am Mateo. I have been obsessed with crypto-currencies since 2013. I was first introduced to Bitcoin in 2011 by a friend and like many people I went through a self-loathing period, because I chose not to invest when Bitcoin was less than $10. Needless to say, I am over that and excited about everything crypto-currencies have to offer, especially Steem. My obsession began with tireless research, reading and forum browsing and buying bitcoin of course and Litecoin and Dash (when it was Darkcoin) and Monero. I wanted to learn as much as I could about it and understand it as much as possible, even if that meant reading the Bitcoin white paper more than once. I even invested in mining equipment and mined me some cryptos. After a few months, I felt the urge to write about Bitcoin and put them on my own website. The website was not very cool or fun or even well done, it was simply a wordpress blog that I do not maintain any longer. But I have still have some of the posts that I wrote starting at the end of 2013 and into 2014 and I thought it would be cool to share them with you guys. Let me know what you think. I am open to any and all criticisms.

I have expanded on my crypto-currency obsession, and now, after a few years of buying and selling and mining and hodling and lurking and watching prices soar and plummet I have begun trading crypto-currencies and deepening my involvement in crypto communities. I will be sharing more on this in the future and a few more posts I wrote a few years back, starting with this one.

If you have not awoken to the rampant ongoing scandal that is the Central Banking System, then you probably do not understand why busting ass all day for the almighty USD never gets you ahead in this game. In the real world, bankers make the money work for them. This would be fine if it did not mean enforcing strict regulations and taxes on the common man so the “movers and shakers” can move, trade, and create money freely. Better known as the %1. Our society has always admired people who could generate wealth. Either subconsciously or consciously, we hold that people who have a lot of wealth probably earned it and are smart enough to manage it, and use it to benefit the economy. It is interesting, however, how many events in history have implicated that this is not the case. The Great Depression is the best example I think. Although, the only thing great about that moment in time is how much money the central bankers made.

Recently, we had the 2008 recession; which, I thought was a joke. Many in Europe probably did not feel this way; especially Greece. But did we learn anything? Essentially, what happened is the large banking systems put in place, to “secure” the markets and insure they do not crash, failed. They failed because of numerous errors they committed knowing full well that such errors would cause significant damages. Then when shit hit the fan, the banker, or banksters pressured the government (the body that is supposed to represent the people...lol) into a bailout fund to ratify mistakes that should have destroyed the companies responsible. But instead the bailout was passed the USD was further debased and, millions of people were cast aside for the interests of big banks and big business.

Why I am rambling about the Central Banking System, recessions, and depressions? The honest answers is because we all should be talking about the Central Banking System and what it stands for. Because if you use USD, everything the Federal Reserve does affects you and what you do.

But more importantly, I am rambling about the CBS, because I have recently become involved with the awesome Internet Community known as Bitcoin. I refer to it as a Community because that is what it is. Everyone involved with the Community trades the token known as Bitcoins. To find out more about Bitcoin I would suggest visiting the numerous sites that offer information on it. In light of the Central Banking System and its scandals it is important to note that Bitcoin is a decentralized crypto-currency. At lease that is how the Community describes it. Decentralized, meaning it does not come from a bank or single entity. Furthermore, all transactions are public yet the identities of the parties involved in said transactions are anonymous or pseudonymous . You can engage in a transaction with someone and not ever have to know who they are. I am not going to describe the whole system and its perks, and what I have described could probably be worded better.

The important idea to take from this, is that Bitcoin is on the rise and it is opportunity for individuals like yourself to gain power over money and make it work for you. The Community is not going away, crypto-currency is not going away. It is not a “ponzi” scheme. It is the future. Do not be afraid of it because you do not understand it. The Bitcoin Community is always opening its arms to newbies who want to expand their minds and their digital wallets. The concepts involved with Bitcoin are somewhat foreign, but there are plenty of expert bitcoiners willing to help anyone who wants to learn. It is easier than you think to get started.
