What´s up steemers, you got a new partner here, my name is daniel, i´m a 33 years old Venezuelan male (Alpha), i just entered here because i found it very interesting page and i wanna learn about it and have fun reading you guys, your stories and all you want to post, i am an english teacher from UPEL , That means " UNIVERSIDAD PEDAGÓGICA EXPERIMENTAL LIBERTADOR" It`s a pretty good university here in my country.

I´m gonna talk to you a little bit about me. I was born in Caracas on june 3rd ,when i was ten years old i moved to maracay and i ´m living here right now, since i was a little kid i really was passionate about sports ... and music. i´ve always like , almost all kinds of sports, baseball, basketball, soccer, etc. And at the same time i had -and still have- this passion for music, specially rock music, i still remember the first time my dad gave me a VCR tape and told me "hey son, watch this tape about this band i think you may like it" , the tape name was "use your ilussion world tour - tokyo" by GUNS N´ROSES, i grabbed the tape and turned on the tv. I just felt in love, i mean , it was a moment when the time stopped , i heared and watch every single song and seeing slash playing that guitar and duff with the bass and axl rose jumping and screaming around was a glorious moment, since that moment i´ve been listening different rock and metal bands like Metallica, ozzy, sabbath, kiss, pantera, megadeth, quiet riot, acdc, motorhead, sepultura and many others, i got older and i hooked up with nu metal, i mean , i really think that KoRn is the best band ever!!! but in general nu metal is my kinda style, limp bizkit, soulfly, slipknot etc, etc. that type of music makes me feel really good and makes me be peaceful with the world, and help me an my difficult moments and whe i am hitting the gym, beacuse i really like weightlifting i just love to go to the gym and put some agressive music to clang and bang the irons, it feels really good.
I have been trough some rough time in my live, i had a car accident and almost kill myself because a kidney desease, and music always was a escape for me on those moments, i think that right now i am a clean, sober, healthy man, with a gorgeous woman that is @dayabar - please go follow her - and got a dog-son named "balu".at this point my life is pretty good and i want to share a piece of it with all of you , can`t wait to read you guys, see you later, stay metal!!!

Hello danthetank! Welcome to Steemit! Hope you'll like the community here. As a start, here are 5 tips that we believe will be helpful to you:

  1. Keep your passwords safe: Unlike conventional sites, Steemit has 4 types of passwords. Each offers varying degrees of access to your account, so know where and when to use each of them. Also, make sure to keep them all safe and secure.
  2. Get Steem rewards: When writing a post, you'll have the option to choose how to receive your reward: "Default 50%/50%" or "Power Up 100%". As of this moment, choosing Default 50%/50% is the better option. But this can change over time. Check our post to know more.
  3. Upvote wisely: When upvoting, wait at least 30 minutes after the post is published to maximize your curation reward. Also, make sure not to upvote too much too fast so as not to drain your voting power.
  4. Know your Steem, Steem Dollars and Steem Power: Steem and Steem Dollars are the 2 main currencies here. Convert and power up more Steem into Steem Power so you can have higher values on your upvotes.
  5. Have Fun and Enjoy!
