To Steem Or Not Steem?

Hi my name is Dennis. I am a mature newby Steemer. Some of my experience involves being a salesperson, auditor, bartender and internet marketer. Husband, Father and Grandfather will also be included in my obituary.

I have become engaged with Steemit after going through the usual should I or shouldn’t I do this schtick…After participating in a webinar conducted by @michaelx I decided to investigate Steemit as it intrigued me and got my juices flowing. In spite of my maturity there is still a lot good rubber on the tread.

While reading and trying to digest the recommended posts I became somewhat overwhelmed. As though I was trying to eat an elephant…

Below my smiling face, you will find simplistic bite size morsels of reasoning why I felt becoming a Steemer is a worthy Goal. 

 Only Way To Devour An Elephant Is One Bite At A Time (Burp!)  

•  Potential to make money just being myself
• Level Playing Field at this time
• Steemit is not controlled by some Corporate Empire
• Short term and Long term goals can be achieved on the same platform
• Large Startup budget not required
• Acquiring Knowledge of Crypto Currency is desirable in these tenuous times

The above morsels are but a few of many reasons to become a Steemer.  These are ones that trip my trigger. I look forward to a fruitful and enriching experience.
