Greetings from the edge of the Diamond and terrible cold! -70 In the winter is not a joke!
PREFACE
Hi Steemit! My name is Stas, I'm from Russia. I'm 11 years old. I just started to learn English. I hope you'll forgive me for mistakes =) I'm actually not as serious as in the first photo! My brother said, "Make a serious face!" and I did =))
My brother told me about Steemit and I decided to meet you! I'm infected with the idea Steemit!!! =)) Lets go!
MY WORLD
I live in an interesting place called Yakutia. You think Russia is a cold? NO! Most Russians do not know what real cold! =)) Imagine in the winter in Yakutia is -70°C. It's true!
It's funny , but many Russians even don `t know about my home ! Someone had heard nothing , and someone only knows that there are a lot of diamonds . It's hard to believe , since Yakutia occupies a very large area in Russia! See how many of us ! =))
In Yakutia very long winter! 9 months of the year! But we got used to it and learned to have fun... for Example, to ride a reindeer =))
...dance in national costumes
...to ride on the ice slides
...and someone just walks alone =))
By the way, guys! Want to surprise your girlfriend? Buy the Yakutian Diamonds! They are very beautiful =)) Yakutian diamonds popular all over the world!
ABOUT ME
I go to school and to be honest, I do not like it ... =)) I would not mind to be in the paper, but they say that in school is much better! And when I go to work, then I'll dream to be in school! It seems to me that this is utter nonsense and actually return to school no one wants! What do you think about this? =))
My dream is to become a video blogger! I want to be useful to people, and so I will try to shoot only useful and interesting video. I came up with several different themes for my channel on YouTube, and when everything is ready, I will show it to you! =))
All summer I spend with my grandmother. She has a big house and has its own garden, so my help is very welcome. In my free time I ride my bike, play video games, read books, learn to cook and play with my younger cousin.
Why I liked the idea Steemit? I think Steemit will help me to learn English. When I grow up, I really want to visit America and not to be lost, I have to be fluent in English =)) I dream to meet the guy who starred in the title role in the movie "The Karate Kid". To do this, I just need to speak English!
At this point I will finish my post =) I hope you have been interesting to read, until we meet again dear friends!
P.S.: This post I wrote the whole 2 days! The first day of writing and translating the second day! =)) It was not easy ... =))
Welcome to Steemit, Stas. I'll tell you my opinion about school, though I'm not sure how pleased your parents would be if they read it. My opinion is, get out of school as soon as possible. Of course, it'll be easier to convince your parents to let you leave school if you're already making some money... Video blogging could be a good opportunity for you, especially combined with Steemit.
The other thing is, don't spend too much time planning your project. Many people spend too much time planning and never actually start. Best to start as soon as you can, and change your approach as you go.
Good luck and have a good one.
Great job with this post, Stas! I hope you follow through with your dreams to be Youtube blogger. Let us know when you post a video, and I'll be sure to upvote it on steemit!
Welcome Stas :) you live in a very interesting, if not cold, place. Love the reindeer, looks like its laughing. Your English is very good, but keep going to school and it will be amazing by the time your leave to go to work.... happy days:)
Thank you! Granted, deer photo turned out funny = ) )
very interesting!
Welcome to steemit Stas:)
Welcome Stas. Right now we are neighbours. I am in Tunka, Buryatia which is just a bit south of Yakutia.
very cool
thx!
Nice, I follow you.
This reply is for you.
Welcome to Steemit Stas! First, I think your written English is quite good. You show great effort in writing a post and then translating it to English. Then, I loved your pictures of Yakutia. They gave me a good feeling for where you live. Love that reindeer :) Finally, finish school. It's not only what you'll learn there. It's all about finishing things that you start. I have no doubt that you'll be successful in whatever you decide to do. :)
