The Tale of The Bush Kitty: Jessapi the Great

Hello Steem Peeps!

This is Echo Cadence here bringing you another round of AWESOME ADVENTURES! :)

If you have read my previous post, I LIVE: A Tale of Spiraling Depression With A Happy Ending, https://steemit.com/life/@echocadence/i-live-a-tale-of-spiraling-depression-with-a-happy-ending, you can recall that I mentioned being busy with everything and finding a busy kitty...

And not just any bush kitty... the BUSH kitty.

I hope you have a cozy cup of coffee dressed to your liking ready, because I'm about to take you on a trip to the bushes!

Here's a bit of background story first. I have a pupper, as you can see here:

She's a cutie pie. My lover boy, who moved in with me, has two kitties, as you can see here:

Precious little assholes, am I right? (Sorry, the other kitty said that his fur wasn't perfect enough for a picture and hid. :( )

When applying to the apartment I'm currently at, they allowed me to have 3 pets, so long as I paid the pent rent each month of course. I'm not sure how things are like outside of Texas, but in S.A. it's pretty rare for an apartment to allow a tenant to have more than 2 pets, perhaps because so many people abuse that privilege and leave their apartments looking like demonic pig hell when they move out.

As I have worked in apartments and leasing before, I was very adamant about not abusing the Property Manager's kindness, despite having the urge to adopt every animal that waltz past me.

For about a month into my lease I did very, very well....

One early September morning, I was taking my dear pupper on her morning walk to the dog park. As I strolled past a few bushes near the pool, I heard this faint, tiny, chirp. No, not a mew, a chirp. It sounded so pitiful...

I couldn't see exactly what was making this beautiful little chirping sound, but the more I scooted closer to the bushes the louder it became. I blessed the world by going onto my knees and peered into the bushes, where I could faintly see a small, black kitten standing on it's hind legs in the bush. I soon discovered that it had a collar around it's neck and a branch from the bush was stuck underneath it. :'(

I quickly freed the sweet thing from the evil shrub's clutches and it purred so loudly in my arms... I fell in love again for the umpteenth time.

While it did have a collar, the baby didn't have a identification tag, nor was there one trapped in the bushes. My heart was screaming at me to keep the little darling, but if he had a collar than that was a clear statement that he belonged to someone... so, I broke my own heart and set the kitty down on the ground....

AND THEN IT CHIRPED AND JUMPED BACK INTO MY ARMS AGAIN!!! <3

So, after carrying my new son around with me while taking my pupper for a walk, I came back inside and surprised lover boy... he was not pleased at first.

Now, Mr. Lover Boy is the biggest kitty fan that you will ever meet... that's a man. But, he didn't want me nor himself to get in trouble with the Property Manager, especially as we have 3 registered pets already, and he did point out that the precious black angel has a collar, so his owner must be searching longingly for him.

I too didn't want to steal someone's beloved's baby away; I'd be devastated if someone ever stole my sweet pupper away. So, lover boy and I made a compromise.

We were to make a ton of flyers and post them all over the apartment complex with a picture of the kitty on there. If someone contacts me, we would have to give him back to his proper owners, but if no one contacts me within a month, he'd be ours.

Well, as I was at work creating the flyers, Mr. Lover Boy called to say that there was no need to create the flyers, as he had already fallen swiftly hard from the chirpping baby boy.

I still created the flyers and posted them everywhere, but I had my fingers crossed that no one would call.

AND NO ONE DID! :D

I'd like to introduce to you the newest member to the Coffee Family, Jessapi the Great! May he forever floop to his heart's content.

He's brought so much bliss and happiness to our furry family, I'm incapable of ever imagining a world without this precious child.

Thank you so much for reading my tale about my finding Jessapi the Great! He sends his blessings upon all those that upvote this article. XD

Until next time!

P.S. I'm so sorry about the repeat blog posts from last time! I keep getting that Transaction Error thingy every time I try to post now.
