Hello Steemit <3

in #introduceyourself8 years ago (edited)

My name is Eva Kristin, and I finally got the time to write a post myself, after reading a lot of interesting and funny posts on steemit. I´m 28 years old, and born in a small village (with about 1200 inhabitants in the municipality), with high mountains and fjords, its really beautiful, almost like a little Norwegian fairytale!

pictures from my little village in Nordfjord during winter and summertime

Unfortunately there are not as many jobs as a lawyer where I come from, so now I live in Stavanger, a medium size town (in Norwegian standard), working as a legal adviser. Fortunately Stavanger a very nice city too.

Here is a picture from Rennesoy just outside Stavanger

As you can imagine I´m a pretty big nerd, love reading law books, other books, playing TV-games and board games. My latest discovery is Steemit (yey!), and embarrassing enough I love collecting pokemons at pokemonGO, haha.

One of my favorite activities in life is traveling. I love getting to know new people and cultures, and spend way too much money on traveling. On steemit I would love to share some tips and tricks about does and don’ts, both in Norway and other places where I travel :) I´ve been to USA, Brazil, Argentina, South-Africa, Sri-Lanka, India, and many countries in Europe. I have worked in the slum in India (2008) and Sri Lanka (2008 - during the war), and have learned a lot about other cultures. That’s one of the reasons my first job after finishing law school was at The Norwegian Immigration Appeals Board (UNE). As I´m from a village with 1500-2000 meters high mountains, I believe that I and my village people are born to love walking in the mountains, so maybe I will show you some nice pictures from trips to my home place and mountaintops too :)

I mean Steemit has the potential to be something real big. Its kind of a mixture of Facebook, Reddit, Bitcoin and blogging, and I really love this social experiment. The nerds meet the makeup-blog, and the stock speculator meet the hipster. And everyone can contribute with what they are good at. I´ve also noticed that people seem to be more genuine than on places like Facebook, and you can earn money on writing quality posts. Therefore I think it's fun to be involved right from the start, and contribute to Steemit growing into the sky :)

Have you visited Finland?:)

"Unfortunately there are not as many jobs as a lawyer where I come from."
There are less and less jobs for anyone over time lately. :(

Enjoy your steemit experience! :)

No, I havn't been to the land of the thousand lakes. But I would like to visit Moomin troll (Mumi-trollet in norwegian) some day :)

Haha that's awesome, a close friend of mine lives in that town, he finds it pretty chill there. :)

hi, nice intro and pics but verification isn't the strongest. you talk about facebook, can you link to it? I can't find any Eva Kristin that looks like you. writing on the hands looks photoshopped.
not an easy one . @anyx what you say?

I know her and she is real. Does that help?

edit: nevermind. see below

See my comment up there. She is very real.

okay thanks I'll take your word for it. also I think I found her facebook, though it is private and her face can't be seen. but there is indeed a Eva Kristin from Stavanger

I've been into Pokemon GO lately too! haha

haha, yeah, it's pretty all-consuming ;) I stop many times to catch pokemon while cycling home from work... embarrassing - I'm too old ;)

I see lots of people just walking down the street and then suddenly stop, buried in their phones. haha good chance it's pokemon go. I've been cycling and stopping from work too! really easy to cover a lot of ground =)

Welcome! Nice introduction

Thanks :)

Enjoy your stay!
