Introducing a Cardcounter turned blockchain investorsteemCreated with Sketch.

Hello there to all the heralds of the Web 3.0!

I am blockchain advocate, content creator, and intergalactic space pirate - Forgonetokens.

I look to find value by exploring the factors that shape the market: supply, demand, and human psychology. When I invest I'm looking for fallacies routed in common knowledge that point to exploitable trends on the verge of an outbreak. Sometimes that means forgetting what I know, or what I think I know until I've fully researched what makes something tick.

I started on my investment track in a unique way - by playing blackjack. You’ve heard it a thousand times, "The house always wins”. But absolutes like that always get under my skin. So I started reading about the house edge and how casinos make profits. This led me to the world of card counting and I learned how advantage players use mathematic principles to flip the house edge in their favor.

I spend the next three months of my life practicing to become a card counter. The more I learned, the more blackjack became the lens through which I saw the economy. In every market there is competition playing out over countless trials. In each trial there must be an advantaged side and a disadvantaged side. While the outcome of each trial will vary (win some, lose some) the more you compete with an advantage the better your outcome will be.

Even when I was playing blackjack full time I kept my eye on the cryptosphere because I was convinced that there was more to this technology than meets the eye. After the bull run of November 2017, I stopped playing blackjack full time and turned my attention fully to studying and investing in cryptocurrency. I am neither a tech wizard nor a big-time developer. I see myself more like a treasure hunter with a faded map and a compass that points mostly north.

After a few months of research, I found something special. Steemit was doing something that most other coins only talked about - it was working. By dispersing rewards through the blockchain it was fueling content creation. Now most of us are primarily content consumers, so we might underestimate the value. But companies like Facebook and Google know that what we have to say has value - billions worth. And here we are at the advent of a project that aims to put the value of that content in the hands of the people who make it.

For me, this platform is as groundbreaking as learning I could beat the casino at their own game. And there’s nothing in this world that gets me more excited than that.

Thank you for letting me be a part of this experiment. Moon or no, I’m here for the ride.
