Frisson Comics

Hi everyone!

We've decided to start posting as a recommendation from a friend. I'm Katie and i'm the illustrator for Frisson Comics, and i work with my partner, the writer Tom Smith .  We've recently had a kickstarter campaign for our horror comic Take Only Photographs, Leave Only Footprints which was quite successful and we're currently working on our second graphic novel The Trade which if people are interested we'll post regular updates about!

As a comic label we're quite interested in subversive horror, we're trying to bring a unique experience to the reader both aesthetically and emotionally. I try to keep an organic feel to the comic and draw in quite a messy way rather than what is commonly expected of art in the genre which I feel gives a different experience though I realise isn't to everyone's tastes.

As well as our comic we're working on a quarterly horror zine called Knock Knock which we pay to print ourselves and take round conventions as a way to promote other artists and writers (we charge enough to pay for the next cost of printing) so if anyone is horror minded and would like to contribute to our Autumn edition send us an email: [email protected] we'd love illustrations, short stories, short comics and poetry! 

Not 100% sure how this all works but very happy to have found this community and hopefully we'll be contributing a lot more!
