Hello, Steemit! I'm Gabriel.

I've been reading about cryptocurrencies since Bitcoin was first released. I wish I had gotten involved back then. My brother introduced me to Steemit just a couple of days ago and I think it's a fantastic concept. It's time to get involved.

I'll be posting all sorts of things. I like to write, so you'll see some short stories. I enjoy role-playing games, so you'll see some content for that hobby like scenarios or settings. I am teaching myself to program in python, with a focus on data analysis and machine learning, so you will see some tutorials that I write to help myself internalize new concepts. Maybe they'll help other students, too.

I'm glad to be here and I hope to see tons of interesting new things!

Thank you! I'm new to the language and analysis concepts, so my tuts will be less master's thesis and more, "Did you know 'xypuke' was a keyword?! 40 minutes lost trying to python (yes, I python as a verb), this document into my database. If I only taught you one thing today, dear readers ..."

I have also been reading about Bitcoin for a long while, and although I have been a long time fan, I never bought in... Now that Bitcoin is close to the $2,000.00 mark, I also thinking that I need to get into this market, I'm also interesting in learning programming, as I have been using Beautiful Soup for web scrapping, I have always wanted to learn more about comparative data analysis using Python... Im looking forward to your contact :)

Bitcoin! I thought, "Who will ever accept this nerdy bit of programming as real money?" So I didn't download the blockchain. Live and learn! I've not seen Beautiful Soup before, but I'll give it a look. I'm new to massive datasets and data analysis, but I'm learning. I tend to write extra notes when I get stuck on topics so I can make the ideas sink into my brain a bit better. I'll spend some time cleaning those up to share. Like I said in my intro, maybe they will be of use to someone else. Or at least remind people of their first day. :)
