Who am I?

My alias is @gmgh. I am a pseudo-anonymous finance blogger based in Singapore that goes by GMGH. I've been blogging for almost 5 years now and my little blog has gone from me talking to myself, to a decent 1,000 views a day. My website is over at https://gotmoneygothoney.blogspot.com/.

Why am I here?

I recently re-discovered cryptocurrencies and following the trail of breadcrumbs led me all the way to Steemit. While I was quick to just label it as the "blockchain version of reddit", I decided to examine it closer since I kept seeing the name pop up everywhere. What better way to check out something than the hands-on approach, amirite?

What I will be doing?

Firstly, I will be surfing around, trying to familiarize myself with everything. Since I come from a finance background, I am still trying to wrap my head over the idea of this whole thing. I think usage will help me understand the economics of it all here on Steemit.

Next, I will also be trying to post original content from my blog. However, since Steemit is quite an international community, I'll try to avoid content which are specific to Singapore. I'll try to break it down to 3 types of posts

Type 1: International Finance - I'll post about things that should be relevant or interesting to anyone in the finance community, though this might tend to be a bit more focused on the largest economies and stock markets.  Examples would be like the Hush-hush adoption of Blockchain Technology by Singapore's Central Bank, the Over-valuation of the US Stock, Bond and Real Estate market and How Much Money Is There In The World.

Type 2: Personal Finance Tips- These tips that I will share would hopefully be applicable to most people. I hope by sharing these tips it can help others save money, and change their mindset about their relationship with money. Examples would be like 5 Tips when Living Overseas, How Travelling Can Be Cheap, Why Pokemon Go can help your Finances and The Best Financial Game App I've Played.

Type 3: Miscellaneous - These cover some of the less financial aspects of my life, and I just think it might be interesting to share. These would include my Top 12 Tips when Travelling to Korea and How I spent $1100 USD on a 2 Week Vacation in Korea.
