Welcome back, me. PS. Don't lose your Steem Password.

Yeah, I lost it. I was ready to kickstart my blog during the brief escape from work this holiday season, and of course I could not find my password anywhere.

I was sure I stored it offline on some memory stick as well as written down on a random post-it... somewhere. Sure enough, I could not find it, and was harshly reminded like a kid at school about the rules:

The first rule of Steemit is: Do not lose your password.
The second rule of Steemit is: Do not lose your password.
The third rule of Steemit is: We cannot recover your password.
The fourth rule: If you can remember the password, it's not secure.
The fifth rule: Use only randomly-generated passwords.
The sixth rule: Do not tell anyone your password.
The seventh rule: Always back up your password.

SO, YES, I HAVE LEARNT MY LESSON. I KNOW YOU WERE JUST LOOKING AFTER ME STEEMIT. EXTRA PRECAUTIONS HAVE BEEN TAKEN THIS TIME; I PROMISE I WON'T DO IT AGAIN.

Anyway... HELLO again planet Steemit & fellow Steemians! I'm Yiannis, the Greek Atheist Vegan. Sort of a cultural anomaly, I definitely was slapped in the face by reality a year ago (particularly with the Vegan aspect) and have never looked back since. The Atheism part, well that was more drawn out for sure. Let's just say that I swayed faster in the past 5 years from an Agnostic Christian Greek Orthodox to not even bothering to think of the side of the argument as the logic wears thin after about 10 minutes. More to come in future posts...

"LET'S GET STEAMING" was something we used to say in the UK when we were like 18 to go out with the sole purpose of getting drunk. Let's not do that... but let's definitely spread the word about Steemit!

HERE'S HOW I SELL IT TO PEOPLE:
I encourage all my friends to get on the train now, especially those with some active Instagram/YouTube/Facebook Page, etc. I tell them that if they have a niche or an interest that they love to talk about, then just share that with the world on Steemit and be one of the earliest on this platform! I think this is a great way to promote this to people - be one of the first who blogs and informs people about what you love to talk about anyway. Your audience grows as the Steemit community grows, you get paid at the same time for your valuable interactions, and you spread the power of the decentralised internet. It's win, win, win.

Join me anyway for some talks on veganism, atheism, freedom of thought & expression, life lessons, philosophy, the occasional slice of geopolitical analysis and some updates on how I am gradually leaving the 9-5 grind - my current short to mid-term goal.
