THE PROPHECY, by Harmonious Destruction

Hello people of Steemit. I would like to tell you all a little story...

My name is Harmonious Destruction, and I'm here today because I want to be wrong. I want you all to prove me wrong rather than tell me I'm wrong.

But first the story.

The birth of Steemit, reminds me of the birth of those which came before it. Such as YouTube, Facebook, and the mighty Internet itself.

When the honorable YouTube first showed upon the scene. It was all about your cool adventure, some informative guide, or a new and cool way to do something.

Now the YouTube is filled with stuff... Most of it is very strange.

No one knows who made it or why.

It's just there. And you cant do anything about it.

And not even the YouTube itself can't get rid of it!

Its like the content multiplies on its own somehow. One strange video meets with another and poof!

An even stranger one is born.

Then adds appeared.

First they were 5 seconds.

Now they are 100 seconds!

There once was a time you could skip them...

Not anymore!

Soon the adds will multiply too. Faster and become longer than even the content itself!

Then we had THEFACEBOOK. The site that was neither a face nor a book.

It had intellectual and philosophical writings.

You could post graffiti on someone's digit wall.

What an amazing place it was for young attractive people. Even the nerds who made it must have gotten laid!

Now even the graffiti is outlawed, and punishable.

Then like the quiet before a bad storm.

The young attractive people became too young.

And then...

The old people showed up. Lots of them.

From far away lands.

They posted picture of their babies. No one wanted to see them, but we were all to nice to say anything about it.

Now,

there are no people on FACEBOOK.

It seems they have all turned into plates of food

How about the great internet? It used to be for smart kids who could code and write in complex languages.

You used to have to be able to read words in order to use it.

Now the internet teaches you languages. It even reads to you and talks

You used to send messages to your friends.

And even spy on them.

Now, the internet sends you messeges.

About things it knows you like, who is spying on who now?

You used to be able to ask it questions. Sometimes you asked it a question, and it didn't know the answer. Then you could tell it the answer.

Now. It asks you the questions.

And when you don't know the answer it gets mad at you and kicks you out.

You used to ask the internet if it was a robot in chatrooms.

Now it asks you

The birth of Steemit reminds me of the early stages of the internet.

After pictures we found out you could broadcast porn.

At first it was tame and innocent, like a young attractive girl with a t-shirt still on squeezing her boobs.

A year went by and then we were showing her and a 100 other people our privates!

Then after a few years her boobs got so big they ripped the shirt.

Another year or two later we realized she's actually a he!

And.

Now!....

She has boobs and a penis...

We are so young. So innocent.

With our poems, recipes, and adventurous travels.

When we want an up-vote we ask the bots..

One day the bots will ask us.

One day we will be trading up-votes for phone numbers

Then show boobs for up-vote will be a thing.

Soon we will be trading Steem Dollars to remove posts like a bad tattoo.

The drug dealers will show up next.

They might sell digital crack laced with cute digital chiapet HUMANS!

Then the old people might come.

And show us pictures of their babie's babies.

And expect up-votes.

Just think of it!!!
