Hi Anne, welcome to Steemit! It seems like we have a lot in common :) I actually lived just outside of DC for about 6 months in Quantico... before you ask, yes. My hubby was stationed there for a while before getting out, traveling for a long time and moving to Bali. I only started on here 6 days ago but I have fallen in love with the opportunity to meet people! This connection for example through encouraging us to introduce ourselves to each other, I'm sure has created a new friendship! I've been working hard to wrap around my head round the important stuff here so give me a shout if you need anything! I was warmly welcomed in when I got here and will never forget it :)
