Complete Getting Started with HIVE 4 Lesson Video Tutorial

Thanks to the hardfork today reducing the powerdown time to only 4 weeks, this will be my last post on STEEM. I am posting on HIVE, which has a much higher coin value, all the top dapps and developers, and most importantly decentralized governance and an active community. The below four lessons will walk you through how to succeed on the platform, including things you probably never even knew about STEEM, which are the same.

The following video is for folks completely new to blogging on a blockchain. This is the first video within a multi-lesson video tutorial that will hopefully make your first experience of social media on a decentralized blockchain a happy one.

This first video covers:

• Creating an account
  (I recommend using Hive Onboard but if you already have a STEEM account from before HIVE's creation, you can log in with that.)
• Setting up your profile for success
• Initiating rewarding relationships
• Joining communities

If you're in the USA and want to get some crypto so you can use that method for instant startup on your laptop/desktop, the easiest way is probably to use Cash App from Square on your phone to buy your first Bitcoin straight from your checking account or credit card linked to that. It's a free app anyone can download. Not sure if it works outside the US.
