My oh my does this feel like a safe place

Quoting Obi Wan Kenobi - Hello there!
After trying to exist on Le major social network: Facebook, I've realized a couple of things. Firstly, I always felt exposed whenever sharing anything on the aforementioned social platform.
I guess it was mostly due to the fact that Facebook felt like a place of being way too much exposed. Exposed to my friends, my family, aqcuintances. I wouldn't always intend all of those people to see my posts, my mood, my reactions to something that's going on in the world.

A friend introduced me to this amazing place. A place where I could express myself without the judgement of my "friends" on Facebook.

Not to say that I don't have real friends on Facebook. Still - I felt like finding a place where I can be myself without feeling the pressure of my friends misunderstanding my stance on life.

I will say this - the last couple of years haven't been too kind to me. 2016 was a year of death, not only celebrity-wise, but also personally to me. My father passed a week before my birthday on August the 7th. My cousin's daughter, age 16, died in december the same year. After having endured the passing of her son and her granddaughter, my grandma passed after spending together the Christmas eve with me and my brother that same year.

And here I am, struggling every day with the pain that both life and my nemesis - arthritis are qourteously providing me, coping with the departure of the people that have been with me for the greatest part of my humble life on this plane.

I also happen to love music. Without any proper training or musical education, I am determined to make something of myself in the area of music. As I am writing this, I am also getting ready for my first ever serious recording of my own original song thanks to a good friend of mine providing me with studio type of recording. Whenever it gets made, I am sure to share it here with all the beautiful people existing on this magical online platform.

So here I am - venting my disappointments and sorrows all the while trying to seem hopeful of life and the wonderous things it may bring.

Until I get myself to bringing more joy on this forsaken blog type of thing , I wish everyone and anyone stumbling upon this diary of a post - do whatever the fck you want to do. You only got one lifetime to do so.

Live long and prosper!

Yes. I agree, it certainly feels free. But, I am cautious. Facebook felt free at first too. I am a senior citizen now. Blows my mind but that is how I am stereotyped in this world today. I have been thru so many tragedies Shakesphere would have a hard time keeping up with mine! From serious accidents, to surgeries gone wrong, to lawsuits and pain medicine and doctors that have no clue what to do with me. Thank God I am in my right mind or they would have put me away a long time ago. I am willing to speak out because I have lived a long time and seen a lot of things. Especially in Healthcare. I was formally trained as an RN, BSN. The science of nursing. I practiced from 1986-2001. In 2001 I had a terrible accident with a tractor trailer truck. He almost won that one. It took me out of nursing completely. But I wrote a book, The Nightingale Protocol. Amazon used to have it but it is out of publication now. I need to republish it, especially now when there is no compassion in healthcare.

Yours was an example of how something good can happen out of something bad. Had you never been in that accident, would you have written and published a book?
I wish these things didn't have such a high cost. Then again, would it feel just as satisfying if something was achieved without any sacrifice?
Wishing you all the best, both health- and otherwise.
