Why I joined Steemit? Introduction

hello Steemit,

My name is Ben Med, and I am a molecular neuroscientist. I am interested in science and was recently introduced to crypto through my friend from the army, who is now the ceo and head of consulting for Blockchain at Berkley https://blockchain.berkeley.edu/team/).

After following the market for half a year, I was introduced to steemit by some crypto currency friends. Please introduce yourself and share some advice and hype in the community. I am extremely interested in the future of Steemit, IOTA, ETH, Neo, and am always looking out for the next best tech/practical idea.
