"Say Hello To My Little Friends!" - A Formal Introduction
After a few Facebook posts about my new addiction to Steemit and the success I've had in the last 10 days, I would love to introduce you to a brand new group of talented individuals who, no doubt, will be bringing a lot of fun content to the Steemit community!
With quite a bit of assistance from long-time Steemit users @tltran, @sykochica, @quantumanomaly, @giftedgaia, @winstonwolfe, and @jessamynorchard we tackled each one of their questions, confronted their doubts, and gave them information to help them get a successful start on the platform.
In this list of users you will find musicians, homemakers, artists, comedians, bookworms, DIY'ers, hairstylists, technology enthusiasts, and good people all around!

Hey! Thanks for the welcome and thanks for introducing me to this place! Looking forward to being a part of a community that is CONTENT driven! As far as questions go, I havent the slightest clue about the cryptocurrency. I will more than likely PM you about that sometime in the next few days when I have the time.
Thanks again for bringing this place to my attention!
Absolutely! I'll answer what I can and help you find the answers to what I can't! 😊

Thanks honey for the mention. Let's not forget @lone-sliver who is currently working on his intro as we speak! So keep your eye open and help him feel loved within the community.
Hooray!! Edited, and he now has his first follower! :D
Love it!
good initiative for newbies, we must remember the new users of steemit and must give them a warm welcome because once we were also newbies here, i am not an old user but i think whales must help the newcomers here, what do u say @jazzyfish
Thank you, @jzeek! I agree that new users should be welcomed with open arms!
I think that any user, big or small, should be free to choose who they help. This isn't a community of entitlement, but rather, a community based on good content and creating meaningful connections with people all over the world.
In the 10 months I've been lurking around, I've noticed that if you create good content consistently, the whales will find you. Whales are whales because they have put in the time and effort to become one.
There are already many whales (and dolphins) that donate their voting power to voting trails. I think this is already a good sign that the successful are willing to help the newbies. :)
Thank you, @jazzyfish, for introducing me to Steemit. I'm quite interested it joining some contests, whatever they may be. Should I wait a little longer to build up content or should I jump right in?
That's an awesome question, @peppernickle!
I think there might be a few strategies that have worked for people, but my advice is to keep to small, interesting posts for now, and save some of your best ideas for when you have worked up some followers, especially ones who like to resteem your posts. Outright asking to be followed kind of goes against the etiquette.
Gain those followers by making meaningful comments on their posts and resteeming them, however, you don't want to flood your followers' feeds with stuff they aren't interested in, so be selective. Watch how the successful people are structuring their posts and how they are tagging them, too.
I think you've been doing great so far with your content! People seem to like short, to the point, and personal. I feel like long, wordy posts are best saved for when you have an audience who already knows that it's going to be worth their time to read what you have to say.
Anyone else have advice for him?
Great suggestions! I believe I'm slowly finding my way. Thank you for all the advice!
Welcome mate! have a great day and all the best in the future!
