Hi there MsManda, welcome to Steemit. Like you I've been lurking for a long time, (and kinda still do.) But I'm also fascinated by what this Steemit platform is/could become. It surely encourages me to see that this is (finally) a community where 'voices like yourself' are both allowed and welcomed and I want to thank you for sharing your story.

    Thanks for your kind response! I'm so excited to see how Steemit evolves, and maybe even more people from the shadows will come out to join the conversation :p

      Got to admit, lurking in the shadows is kinda comfortable and safe... But then you never get a tan ! 😋
