Hi, i am Jose, at the moment that Maria hit us we was at the house, it was the most scariest moment of my life, worried about my family, i stay in a "safe room" with my wife and kids. There was a moment that only was thinking when it will stop, the winds get stronger and stronger, the eye of the hurricane pass at 9am, and we can't sleep, we only heard things crashing and breaking, the concrete walls was shaking, all the house was shaking. My kitchen and living room are in wood and zinc and it rant away like paper. When we finally get out of the room, we saw all of our thing destroyed and wet. The news put Maria at 4 category but was felt like 6, i saw Hugo when hit us in 89 and all other hurricane, but nothing like Maria, the mountains near us are unrecognizable, all the trees was gone even the big ones was down, Caguas was the 3er Municipality with mayor destruction in PR. We are very gratefully that we are fine and only lose material things. And we want to share some of the photos that i took of my cellphone before and after.

We lose almost everything, right now we are in a shelter paid by FEMA, my business go down, all the activities that i had to do money has gone, i found this site and trying to get a little of help. i don't use to do this because i work to give a good quality life for may family, but the thing are getting difficult, FEMA give of some help but is not sufficient if want to donate you can do it.
