Hello Steemit! Justin here.

Hello people of Steemit!

I would love to share some of my writing, photography, and experiences here on Steemit. I consider myself an explorer, so I hope this will be a pretty exciting and interesting feed. I'll post tons of cool photos and slices of life. I'm always finding new and awesome music, and my hope is to also share blogs about songs and videos that seem especially awesome to me, and also get to know the community here better. I also like to travel and take cool photos, some of which I've shared below, and I have plenty of thoughts about the world.

About me: I'm an Illinoisan who has lived in Kansas, Georgia, and currently in Oregon, and I speak French and plan to live in France someday. I love to write, I love to read, and I love to learn. Here's some of my photography!

One thing I really like to do is to attend public marches and protests, and there have been so many in the past few years. I like to see tons of people in one place, and it makes for good photography and I have a lot of satisfaction feeling like I am documenting history and participating too. I am closing in on the last term of my Masters program in Communication, and it has always been a dream of mine to be a working reporter. That's why I've blogged so much in the past ... the hope that someday I could do this professionally. Steemit seems exciting because the blockchain system offers some kind of compensation for my writing, and the more I work and the bigger network I build, the better will be my earnings.

Dabbler in Many Things

There are so many things I'm passionate about. I've been a barista, so I know my way around coffee, and I've been a valet, so I know my way around cars. I love to read, whether that's fiction or non-fiction or news or anything really. I'm a bit of a foodie, and cooking for friends is one of my favorite ways to de-stress and feel like I'm helping people. I would love to travel, enormously, but I haven't been able to do as much of this as I'd like... in the future I want to see so much more of the world than I have. I love people, and I think that the system has made it really hard for a lot of people, so I hope my future career can somehow put me in the position to help others live their lives to the fullest and make it so everyone, rich or poor, can make the most of their lives. My hope is that my writing will reflect that conviction: to enable everyone make the best of what life has to offer, and to enjoy the world and push ourselves to our limits.

I'll share just a couple more of my favorite photos for now. In the future you can expect all sorts of posts, from personal writing to music sharing to photos to random miscellaneous thoughts. Can't wait to meet you!

Welcome! I think you'll really enjoy it here. You take very nice photos. There are a number of photography contests around Steemit that I think you'd enjoy. Happy Steeming!

Hey man, I'm Oatmeal Joey Arnold, and I love the photos and I'm from Oregon.

Welcome to the platform Justin. We have a lot of fellow writers and photographers on the platform so there's a lot of opportunities for you to play and share here. Since you enjoy photography and have some nice landscape photos you might be interested in the @photocontests daily competition hosted by @juliank. You can see an example with explanation of how to participate here.

Again, welcome to the platform sir - looking forward to seeing some of your posts :)

Thanks! Nice to meet you, I'll take a look at @photocontests .

Welcome to steemit justin :) Great introduction! Hope you will produce nice content in the future. I'm especially interested in coffee and cooking content :D Hope you get a chance to do more travelling, maybe through profits from this platform? haha! Good luck & followed you :)

Thanks for following! I'll make a point to write about the coffee and cooking; both are so much fun :)

Welcome to Steemit Justin. Great intro! How do you feel about prius drivers? :).... is a question I like to ask ex-valets... I am one of the ex-valets.

I think the Prius is a marvelous automobile... especially the new ones! But I still find it strange to start your vehicle with a power button... and the silence of the engine. Tesla's, though, are a downright pleasure. The console is an enormous screen. So futuristic!

Welcome to Steemit! I used to live in IL, now I'm in BC, Canada. lol! Love the Pacific NW.

I enjoy travel, photography, books, so many of the things you stated here. I too am a dabbler in many things. I saw your post via @mountainwashere's resteem (yay for friends). There's a lot to learn on this platform, but if you learn a little each day, stick with it, and have fun, you'll meet some amazing people. Steem on! :)

Nice to meet you Katrina!!@mountainwashere has great writing, and he really encouraged me to give it a try. Thanks for being so welcoming!
