The Incredible Journey That Lead Me To Steem!
I'm Josh Williams, I am a 21 year old from North Carolina!
For the last 5 years or so my life has been filled with addiction. Not that kind of addiction silly, I have become addicted to playing pool! That's right... POOL! My pool playing all started with the stereotypical, playing on that nasty beat-up pool table with cigarette burns, beer stains, and sometimes it would snatch the last 4 quarters I had.
Little did I know that scraping up spare change from my couch cushions would eventually lead to me playing pool at the national level, gambling for thousands of dollars, and becoming one of the top pool players in North Carolina! Here are a few pictures....
I will go more in depth with pool in a future post. For now I want to explain how playing pool lead me to Steem! So once I actually started playing on good pool tables and progressing my pool game, I was introduced to my first pool hall. THIS PLACE BECAME MY HOME. I instantly fell in love, the people were awesome, it was a family atmosphere, and I worked about 5 minutes away so very convenient. For about 3 years straight I spent every spare moment at the pool hall. Being one of the youngest regulars in the pool room had a lot of advantages. One of the most important things I have learned from the pool world is how to "hustle". No, not hustling someone on the pool table, but just how to hustle in general. For me, "hustling" is doing anything that will increase the dollars in my pocket. No matter if I'm making money right this second, or 5 years down the road. If it makes me money, I'm in.
Recently I have been investing in different types of cryptocurrency. This is how I came across Steem. Now I am very eager to learn more about it and I am in hopes that I am putting my money towards a potential return. I've landed on Steem to exercise my hustle. I heard cha-chings so I came running.

Ah! Well you will be excited to find out that steemit.com is only ONE part of the steem blockchain.
It's sort of like steem is the blockchain where all this information that we are posting and sharing is stored, and which is also generating the steem currency - and steemit.com is sort of like a window with which to SEE the blockchain.
However, there are MANY windows to see the blockchain. This is what makes the concept of steem so cool! So - DTube.com is the steem YouTube! DSound.com is the Steem SoundCloud! DLive.com (brand spankin new) is the Twitch of Steem! And there is a whole host of other ones as well!!!
And if I am not mistaken, all of these were created by independent programmers who just like steem and wanted to improve on it - so basically steem can take the form of reddit, youtube, soundcloud, or twitch currently... and I feel like its only a matter of time before we get instant private notifications as well - so then we could take on the BIG BLUE GIANT lol.
