In this picture you can see two things: One is a pretty big and a pretty hard metal head (and not a pretty nice one, too).
The other one is a bust of THE man, Lemmy Kilmister (the basist, the singer and the founder of the band called Motörhead, who, unfortunately passed away 2 years ago, but that's not the story I'm gonna write. At least not today.).

If you're a lazy ass like yours truly, here's my TL;DR bio for you:
I'm a gallant electrical engineer with a dry sense of humor and affections for RF engineering, electronics, embedded electronics, cycling, chess... and heavy metal music.

If you have enough time to waste it, here's my much longer bio for you:
My name is Petar Kolar. I can even translate my name to English and then it's Peter Wheeler or Peter Carter (not a very useful information but maybe a cool fun fact. Or just a fun fact. Or even just a fact. Whatever).
Throughout my life I've had a lot of bursts of some things being interesting to me for a short amount of time. That's why I know a lot of basic stuff about lots of stuff (people say that modesty is a virtue I don't have. I really don't know why do they say that...) and that's why in the future you will see very different posts here on my blog. Is that a good thing or a bad thing I don't know. I guess we'll see in a while (but I digress here). Fortunately, I did have enough will and enough concentration for me to become an electrical engineer, so I guess you can expect a few technical or DIY posts here on my blog. And I actually do have a few hobbies that have been with me for a while and I guess you will learn here about them, too.
Oh, a few things I forgot to mention: I'm 26 (and that's the length of my lifespan and not the length of something else) and I'm from Croatia. That means that I'm a Slav, and yes, I do love "ajvar" and "kompot", and yes, I do have a "babushka" (although it's "baka" in Croatian), but no, I don't speak Russian (except, of course, curses) and no, I'm not a big fan of Russian hard bass. Sorry. But I do speak Croatian (obviously), English (Captain Obvious strikes again), and a bit of French and Spanish, so I hope I do get the "Get Out of Jail" card for that.

That's all I want to say about myself for today (because if I continue, this will become one epic spam post), and, since I started with a fun fact (or just a fact), I also want to finish with one: My username, k5ar, is actually my reversed signature. I usually sign myself as 5ARK, but since I'm not allowed to use number as a first character of the username, I reversed it. "5ARK" is a short version for "Petar K" because "5" in Croatian is "pet". It's the game of numbers and letters that I figured out in elementary school, found it cool and have been using it since. Although, my actual nickname is "Pero", which means "feather" and it probably doesn't suit me because I'm much closer to heavyweight class than to featherweight class, but again, I'm starting to digress here.

That's all, folks, so long, see you soon! I'll be back.

Pero
