RE: Me looking at the ruins of Nicopolis ad Nestum - a fortified Roman town of the province of Thrace in Bulgaria, dating to 105 AD.
These are the remains of a fortified Roman city in southwestern Bulgaria - archaeologists have found coins, ceramic vessels and bronze vessels - the town was inhabited from around 100 AD until the 14th century AD. :) You can see remains of the defensive wall:)
