The lastest ICO news and discussions on Locos Community
I feel like I have been active on Steemit for just a few days and thought I would get some posts up before introducing myself so people can see what I am all about. However, a few weeks have passed now and I kept postponing an introductory post but then hf19 happened! What a better day to write this post than on the day after hf19.
I kept postponing this post as I wasn't sure what I would be writing about on my blog. After a few weeks of interacting with other Steemians and reading many posts I knew I should just write about my latest passion: cryptocurrency. Everything about it keeps on amazing me, mostly in a positive way. The concepts, technology and the goals of some of these companies (together with some of the financial returns) are incredible. Blockchain technology can be used for so many things you can almost compare it to Hennep and this time governments are slowly but steadily embracing it. You don't need to have any knowledge about cryptocurrency to know what I am talking about as Steemit is one of those incredible companies. If you read this you are on it and are experiencing for yourself what I am talking about. There is a great ideology behind Steemit, it respects and so rewards people putting time and effort into creating original content which is value adding to the community as a whole and distributing that value fairly.
People are putting large and small amounts of money into cryptocurrencies and, I know out of my own experience, don't do a lot of research which might result in a decision they will regret later on. For ICO's this is also the case and I didn't even care what BAT was all about as the hype was so big I knew there was money to be made. Normally I buy as a long term investment but this was a no brainer. Being a small fish I missed out. However, when it comes to ICO's it's very important to know what you are getting yourself into or which ICO to participate in or not. This can be time consuming and confusing (think of the ongoing Status ICO with a Dynamic Ceiling). Therefore I took it upon myself to share the research I do out of my own interests and in return I hope to get some feedback on the post, the coin and hopefully get a discussion going. Together we can all learn more, make more weighted decisions and lower the risks.
Not a lot of detailed personal information as I rather introduce the blog I want to create and hopefully I (my blog) can become your GO TO guy if you are thinking about investing in an ICO.
Thank you for reading and feel free to give me your feedback, comment, promote your own article, follow or upvote my posts.
Can anyone really "invest" in ICOs? Seems more like a potentially good place to put your speculation fund, i.e. money you are willing to 100% lose
STEEM On !!

Well for most of the big ICO's when they hit the exchanges the prices where many times what investors bought them for during the crowdfunding period. If you would've been able to acquire BAT during the ICO you would've made 600%+ the next day.
Even if you think about it, who is willing to sell for less then they bought so the price the coin is sold for at exchanges always tends to be higher. Its the same with IPO's.
