Encouraged by Positive Reinforcement Online Community

Hello all!

My name is Patrick and I was encouraged to join Steemit by my pals @web-gnar and @hazylogic. They're both old buds from years ago that I've spent a lot of time skateboarding and putting back pints with. I must say, the main aspect of Steemit that attracted me was the positive attitude and supportive nature of the online social community that Steemit seems to embody. Prior to joining the Steem train, I browsed a variety of accounts to get a feel for the site. Let me tell you, I was thoroughly pleased with what I saw. People positively reinforcing other's post with kind-hearted comments and seemingly genuine responses.

These days, other social media applications such as Facebook and Instagram are over-saturated. They have become so heavily trafficked that the content posted upon them is usually thoughtless and unbearably numbing to the mind.

Thus brings me to my point...I want to be apart of a online community that relishes in the sharing of quality & creative content for one another! Can I get a hallelujah?! (No, I'm not religious, but yes, I respect your faith.)

Let me tell you a tad about myself, before I delve any further into my fervor for a deliciously satiable online community. Okay, I swear I'm done using the term "Online Community." What am I, 45 years old? ONLINE COMMUNITY, sorry! I had to say it one more time. My sincerest apologies, I'm just hyped!

I hail from the Midwest, grew up just west of Chicago. Although, I currently live in Chicago with my lady and my two six month old kittens Henry (Hen Boy) & Cass (Mama). Future graphic novel titled, "The Adventures of Hen Boy and Mama" is sitting on the chopping block, untouched, but remains an idea just waiting to be cracked open!

But I digress. . .

My main interests include skateboarding, reading, writing, painting, doodling, ingesting copious amounts of beer while maintaining a slap-happy carefree nature, eating veggie burritos (1-2 times a week), finding new music that tickles my ears, I.E. Faye Webster, Infinite Bisous, and Cut Worms. Check these bands out, yuh might just love em!

I also look forward to my morning cup of coffee before hitting the sack the night prior. Yes, coffee. Yes. Mmmm.

Anywho, I don't have an exact purpose for my Steemit account, other than to take my time and post meaningful, original, and quality content that I deem worth sharing; in the hopes of gaining interest and support of others (expect that support and hyped-ness to be reciprocated!

Main Types of Post to Expect:

-Existential musings on life, accompanied by true life anecdotes.

-Other types of writings.

-Visual art (Film photography, digital photography, acrylic on canvas, ink on paper.)

-Skateboarding videos and photos.

-Movie analysis? Maybe.
