Hello, Shamanaytrix, and Welcome to Steemit.
What a fascinating intro. I agree that this separation is weird and temporary, but it is a fascinating experience, isn't it?
This separation allows us to encourage unity and work towards a higher level of union. And you've found a great channel on which we can do so.
Below are a few basic points of advice re posting on Steemit.
- Longer posts are more lucrative than short posts. If you make a post of 20–30 paragraphs, it's more likely to earn rewards.
- Include some photos, images or graphs, to complement the text.
- Make sure the text and photos are formatted properly, so that your post looks attractive and appealing.
- Be yourself.
- Be interesting and informative.
- Create quality content. Steemit is intended to be a platform of quality content. (You will see many insignificant posts with meager content and no quality. Most of those of posts [called “shitposts” by Steemit whale Stellabelle] will earn few rewards and soon pass into oblivion.)
- Get online and start curating. Read various posts, comment on those posts you find interesting, and upvote those posts. That’s the best way to attract followers.
Hope this helps for now. Good luck, and Full Steem Ahead!
Hi @majes.tytyty! We do indeed seem to be here to transmute the experience of separateness in order to become one with that higher state.
Thanks so much for the Steemit advice -- am trying to figure out how one upvotes something without spending Steem...? Seems a really basic question, so my apologies for my newbieness. (:
One cannot UpVote without spending Steem. That's all part of the grand design. Spend what you can / want to spend, to support those Steemers or posts that you want to support / encourage.
At the same time, the system will constantly generate new Steem, and distribute that new Steem to the Steemians. Basically, it will refill your tank – automatically. A refill will take a few hours or a few days, depending on how much Steem you have recently spent.
Here's a link to a great page – https://steemnow.com ... Under "SETTINGS," input your Steemit Username, and click "ENTER", and your relevant stats will appear.
In the green bar, you will see your current "VOTING POWER." If it is less than 100%, it will tell you how long you must wait for your "Tank" to be refilled with Steem. If you do not spend any Steem in upvoting, it will be refilled in that time frame.
Of course, if you spend some Steem upvoting, the "refill" time will be further extended.
Hope this helps. (It took me a while to learn the, too.)
P.S. BOOKMARK your https://steemnow.com page!!
