Hello from the glorious Isle of Man.

I am the proud mum to four fab kids - including a magical set of twins! There seems to be something in the water on the Isle of Man as we have lots of twins here - there are five sets just on my little street!

I am also a homeopathic practitioner and a co founder of homeopaths supports refugees. I believe strongly in supporting each other and helping where ever we can. If we all try to be a bit kinder image how great the world will be!

For those who don't know the Isle of Man is a small Island right bang in the middle of the Irish Sea - equidistant from Liverpool and Dublin.

We have a population of about 85,000 people for 11 months of the year , and then at the end of May beginning of June we have the world famous TT motorbike race and the population explodes with visiting bikers and bikes! The island truly comes alive with the smell of 2 stroke, leather and beer and the roar of modern day gladiators as they take on the 37 1/2 mile mountain course. It is truly something to witness and feel the vibration of the bikes as they speed past at a current top speed of 206MPH by James Hillier. Visitors come from all over the world to sit in hedges, on walls and stand by the road as the bikes thunder past, within touching distance! The roads they race on are our everyday roads and as soon as the roads open car drives past the public is back on them! A few hay bales and road cushioning strategically places around lamp posts and drystone walls is the only protection offered if they should fall off.

We have the most glorious scenery here with a rugged coastline all around it makes wondrous backdrops to sunrises and sunsets. I am hoping to post some interesting facts about this magical place so please keep an eye out for them.

Interesting fact number one , today is our adopted national dish of chips, cheese and gravy day! Lots of local chip shops are offering this delightful combination at a special price today to celebrate the inaugural chips, cheese and gravy day! If you haven't tried it you don’t know what you are missing!
