Welcome, Alex. Social anxiety can be such a difficult struggle, good that you're managing it. May I ask how you're keeping it under control? Are you doing any psychological or spiritual techniques to keep it from taking over your social interaction?
Thank you! :). I eventually just started to think positively about myself. I started to ignore the negativity. I know it's a little cliche, but it works... Be around those who respect you for you... for those who don't, kick em out of your life. You're an amazing person, if others have a problem with that, then its not worth paying attention to.
That's good advice. I think positive thinking is something a lot of us could really do with more of, in the current social climate that we're in. So much anger, hatred, divisiveness, etc. We need happy, positive, cheerful reinforcement.
Indeed, especially when you're just out there for a good time. Being a friendly person that helps others will also help those with social anxiety/depression. The true things in life make us all happy :)
I still have issues here and there, but for the most part... I'm doing alright :)
