Hi! My name is Lucien, and I believe in freedom!

My name is Lucien, I am a 25 year old self employed Voluntaryist with a passion for free market economics. I live with my partner Allie, my Mother, and our 8 cats and 3 dogs in a small town in rural Maine. Allie and I run a small online store and do odd jobs for friends and family. Allie and I are currently anxiously awaiting the birth of our first child, Greta who will be joining us any day now. We currently live in an apartment in the house my mother and her 8 brothers and sisters grew up in, which my uncle now owns. We sit with the androscoggin river in front of our house and a mountain behind it. Up the hill behind us, my uncle recently cut a large clearing, next to his house with the intention of starting a family farm.

I am a hyper-logical, scatter-brained, music addicted, nature loving entrepreneur. I have always had a passion for learning, and been regarded as very bright, but had a strong distaste for traditional schooling. I dropped out of high school when I was 16 years old, as one of the top students in my class, promptly went and got my GED. I have held various jobs over the last 9 years including: Masonry laborer, sawmill employee, sold skateboards that I handmade locally, Walmart grocery employee, rural mail carrier, and most recently I work as a seasonal chair lift operator at Sunday River (a nearby ski resort), and now run an online store. Within the last month, I have come to the realization that I have ADD, I struggle to maintain focus on things that don't captivate me, which has lead to me having difficulty with organization in many aspects of life. I have also struggled with anxiety and depression for about as long as I can remember, which certainly stem from ADD. I have since begun proactively working towards improving my focus and concentration by being more conscious of this problem. I have changed my diet, and exercise habits, and I've recently begun practicing meditation, it has been far more helpful than I think I could have imagined. All these have recently turned the tides on this battle, where I feel I'm far more in control of my own life than I've ever been.

I divide my free time between being a computer hobbyist, reading and learning about economics, and exploring the intimate beauty of the mountains of western Maine. which includes hiking, swimming, fishing, and riding my motorcycle in the summertime. During the winter, snowboarding pretty much consumes my free time. I discovered Libertarianism a few years back, through a natural progression of ideas revolving around freedom, I was introduced to many prominent liberty conscious individuals and organizations which guided my exploration of these principles. I had a few close friends who were self declared Anarcho-Capitalists, whom followed very similar paths to mine, who introduced me to the ideas of Voluntaryism, and Anarcho-Capitalism, which I was reluctant to embrace. For some time I thought idealistically, that these principles sounded great, however I was doubtful that they could be realistically achieved. I didn't believe that anarchy was a sustainable solution, and that it would eventually and inevitably devolve back into government control. However, I kept researching the idea and found great insight into these dilemmas, eventually realizing that not only would this likely not be the case, but that even if it were the case, it didn't matter.

Simply paste a url! Photos need to be hosted externally. Thanks!

More freedom loving people, excellent. I see more and more libertarian/anarchist/agorist people as the day goes by. I didn't even knew there were so many of us.

Thanks brother. I really appreciate it.
