Beggining of my Steemit Journey - intruduction & posts to come!
Hello Steemit Community! ;-)
Hello Steemit Community! ;-)
I'm both nervous and excited writing my first post on this platform, hopefully it's not my last. I wish I did it much earlier when I first heard about Steemit about 6 to 8 months ago, oh well... I (and probably you) can say the same about many other things in life, including getting into bitcoin and cryptoworld altogether. But in moments of regrets about the past I just do my best to focus on what's yet to come, and you know what? When I do that, there's nothing except a big smile on my face!
Ok, lets finally begin a proper(ish) introduction. So, my name is Marcin and I'm from Poland. I spent last 6 or maybe even 8 years of my life blogging and vlogging about healthy eating, lifestyle and traveling in Thailand (unfortunately it's all in Polish, but I may translate some of my most viewed content and post it here). Everything started when I was done with my skin issues, asthma etc. Within a few years I got rid of most of my health problems, lost ton of weight, left university (I was about to finish my master degree in Civil Engeneering) and decided that from now on I'll be spending winter time in the tropics, or at least in a place where it's not as cold as in Poland (we don't have polar bears so it could be worse, but...). It was 2013 when my dream came true and I spent 4 months in Thailand.
Next year it was almost 9 months, then once again 9 months and this time I ended up coming back to Europe after 4 months. You may be wondering why and how come I made this dream reality. Well, I'll happy to share all of it with you, but let's leave it for another time, most likely for one of my upcoming posts.
So now it's probably quite obvious what a portion of my posts are going to be about healthy eating, veganism, lifestyle and of course traveling in Thailand. Regarding the last one topics will definately include visas, places to go, dos and donts, vaccines, insurance, working opportunities and my experiences like crashing on a bicycle, breaking my left arm (I'm left-handed) in two places and ending up with some steel in both my elbow and a wrist.
As you can see it won't be boring and you'll get a glimpse into how expensive it can be to have such an accident and how Thai healthcare works when it comes to foreigners. Seems like I got us into some weird/scarish teritory, but don't worry, it was more then a year ago and I'm fine now :)
I'll also share with you a story or two about how I got into cryptocurrencies when Ethereum was worth about 15$ (special thanks to my cousin Michael!) Of cource I wish I could say the same about bitcoin... oh right, focus on the future! :) But ye, I've had an introduction to bitcoin before it's first bubble a few years ago. Goes without saying that cryptocurrencies (or asstets if you will) are one of my main interests right know and I'm hoping to learn a lot from this community!
All right, I think that's it for now. If there's anything you would like me to write about, then please let me know in the comments. Cheers! ;)

Here are my tips how to get started.
Don't give up! At the begging is really hard, I know, even after the first week is really hard. Your work someday will be awarded!
Write what is interesting to you, not what is trendy!
Don't write more than 2-3 articles per day, try to write them short and interesting!
Hey @kalinka Thanks for the tips. I'm sure that consistency is key here, so my plan is to post once a day, at least for now. Will see how it goes :)
Welcome to Steemit! You're on time, the most interesting will soon be on. You'll like it! Good luck
