you'll be a man, my boy!

This beautiful poem by Kipling few people remember. His promise: the boy must become a man.
But if the boy should definitely become a man? What all this means "man"?
I would like to openly ask this question in the current turbulent times, when there is confusion in everything, even in the gender differences. In modern times: the time of the erosion of the role of the father and the incredible (spiritual, anthropological, moral) recourse that every day hangs over the young people. The days when a woman was free, which is perceived on both sides, not as embezzlement, as well as a chance for everyone.

So, what does "man"?

First of all, a man is what it means. Being a man - is to be a man: acquire significance that is lost in limbo. It means to be real, to be able to deal with some destructive force. Being a man means to stop being all that a man is not: the shadow of the past, Windswept palym leaf, being without substance and content.

The man should be the essence. In women lifting conditions, the most terrible tragedy, both for men and for women, men would be looping on its dominant position in the past, or smearing, the dissolution and rejection of his male role. Once a woman is raised, a man tempted to withdraw into himself, to show immaturity and cowardice rather than with open arms to meet a woman in a world of freedom. But to meet her, he had himself just to stand on his feet. Therefore, our civilization is necessary to take urgent measures. So, before you wonder what a man has to make a word, the courage and strength to do so he had these same words, courage and strength. Before you wonder whether the man a good citizen, a subject of rights, who is aware that his freedom ends where the freedom of others begins, you should wish him to be a real man.

A man must refuse to rough planting his power? Yes. He should direct the energy in the noble goal? Certainly. But for this he must feel like a man. Even if we have something just to give it away, we still can not give more than we have. That is, in the current difficult times, when the horizon looms a kind of gender wars, a man must first be ashamed of his manhood.

Or "masculinity"? Because in the depths of masculinity in the same way, which means the intrinsic virtue of men, means the following: unused life force that inspires confidence. In the words of Aristotle, is "potency", which is not yet aware of itself as an "act", but already feels enough confidence in their own abilities to qualify for something more than it is. Masculinity - it is something that is considered a reliable and durable, though it is not yet proven. Subjectively, be brave, then you feel that you have something rather than nothing: it is an internal sense of self-consistency. Outwardly it is to see someone what it could be if I wanted: an intuitive understanding of what you can rely on him. And just to throw off the shackles of women are faced with in the world of the raging struggle, we need a virtue which, like courage, gives confidence.

From brave man expect that he should be on top. But at what altitude? It is still not clear: chance and circumstances, everything that makes the future uncertain and for this very reason compels us to take risks. Masculinity recognizes those who endows her and has, or sees it in another vision of the future, the perception of perspective: a leap into the void.
