RE: my life

in #introduceyourself7 years ago (edited)

Why did you just introduce yourself and then flag my reply to a friend 20 minutes later? I'm not going to flag you back...but I don't understand why you did it to me, on a comment that others upvoted.

It was a genuine comment to a story that he wrote and HE upvoted my comment which shows it wasn't rude or offensive or inappropriate.

Please don't join steemit then start pointless flag wars 20 minutes later after introducing yourself...

Flagging is only for spam or inappropriate stuff. So you know for future reference.

sorry I do not really understand about steemit, because I just joined, for that I ask for guidance

Ok, no problem. The "flag" button is only if something is spam, or somehow inappopriate.

The upvote button, the little half triangle with a circle around it, is kind of like a "like" button on facebook for example.

Be careful with flagging quality content, because then people will flag your account, which is bad. If they flag your account...then you lose money and reputation.

Your reputation is 25, you can see it next to your name on the top of your page. It's 25 only because you're new. It will be higher as time goes on, but gets lower if flagged.

To succeed on steemit, basically just comment good comments on peoples posts and make friends! Do a thoughtful comment. More than just "great post" and then write the same thing on several posts.

Also, watch as maybe youtube tutorials and read as many articles as you can about how to succeed.

Find someone who is doing well on steemit and try to copy what they do.

Best of luck!

(P.S. If you can tap the flag and undo it next to the comment, that way you can unflag my comment, that would be great. If you don't know how, oh well. It's okay)
