Project V [S1E0] : Nooswhat ?! Introducing myself (+Crypto giveaway)

Hello everybody !

My real name is Florian but most of the people call me "Noosby" or even "NSB". I'm 27 years old and I live in France, not far from the German border. I am single and have no children.

My background

In school, I studied Electrotechnic for 5 years (I had to re-do 1 year but ended with 2 graduations in this path and also one in English). Honestly I wasn't really interrested in this domain and I knew that I will never become an electrician as what was planed for the people in my classroom. After my studies, at first, I did few little jobs before I found a job in Germany in a "Cleanroom" for a solar factory. I started as operator and then became line driver (I was in charge of a whole production line) and ended as "expert" on all our production lines.
Unfortunatly, after a few years the direction decided to close our production site with the reason that the production cost of our solar panels was too expensive here in Germany.
After that, I was in "stand-by" for one year until I found an interresting opportunity. I returned in Germany to work, but this time not in a factory, but in the biggest amusement park of Europe : Europa-Park. I wanted to discover new things, learn to socialize as much as I could and also improve my skills in English and German.
I worked there for 1 year as "ride operator" on an attraction called "Poseidon" (the most wellkown watercoaster of the park) and this experience did bring me a lot and I really enjoyed it. I've done one year in the park but I stopped because it was too far from my home (we were working 12-13 hours a day then I had to drive 1 hour to go there and 1 hour to come back home).
Finally, I went back in my hometown to work as line driver in guess what... another solar factory, and I'm there since then.

Hobbies & interests

While I also like to hang out with my friends, travel, listen to music, I am clearly what you can qualify as a "geek". Since I'm young, I always had interested for new technologies and I've learned a lot in many paths of computing : software, hardware, webmastering, design and most recently the blockchain technology.
Next domain I would like to learn more is about drone racing. I'm also a smoker and I was growing pot during a few years ;p I had to stop growing but I remember this period as a very cool experience.
Right now, my main interests are into the blockchain technology, the 3D printing (I own 4, 3 Tarantula & 1 CR-10), and what I call "research in energy ". I'm feeling really concern about the environment and ecology and I really would like to find a way to create clean energy.

What am I doing here ?

I am here because I have a story to tell, a story which is still not over yet. I would like to create a community of people who like to hear stories and why not who want to be part of it. I was many times in a situation where people where asking me more about what happened and most of the time it takes hours. Many of them asked me "why don't you write a book ?" but I always replied "Firstly, this story isn't over now and I think there will be a lot of other things coming in the future. Secondly, I think that today writing a book is not such a good idea, most of the people I know don't read books anymore, I can find a more appropriate support".

I was thinking a while about telling this story on Youtube but I wasn't comfortable about the idea of filming myself, I also have no skills in video editing. Also, Youtube these days has become a little bit trash I think and the content creators who are really doing quality are not rewarded enough comparing to others who make a living by just posting videos of reactions, degustations, and other things without any real interest.
I really believe that Steemit can be the "next Youtube", or at least the one where you can find posts of quality first. That is in my opinion the way it should work.
As you may have noticed, my english is not perfect and this can be a good way to improve it.

So, to resume : I have a story to tell, I want to create and grow a community interested with what I'm talking about. I'm new on Steemit but I think I understand most of the bascis at the moment and I will keep learning to improve the quality of my posts and the way I'm using the plateform. Of course, any advice from the community is welcome ! Don't hesitate to tell me if I do something wrong.

Crypto giveway

I don't know if this is a good idea (let me know in the comments), but I think it's always cool to win stuff for free.

Hello noosby! Welcome to Steemit! Hope you'll like the community here. As a start, here are 5 tips that we believe will be helpful to you:

  1. Keep your passwords safe: Unlike conventional sites, Steemit has 4 types of passwords. Each offers varying degrees of access to your account, so know where and when to use each of them. Also, make sure to keep them all safe and secure.
  2. Get Steem rewards: When writing a post, you'll have the option to choose how to receive your reward: "Default 50%/50%" or "Power Up 100%". As of this moment, choosing Default 50%/50% is the better option. But this can change over time. Check our post to know more.
  3. Upvote wisely: When upvoting, wait at least 30 minutes after the post is published to maximize your curation reward. Also, make sure not to upvote too much too fast so as not to drain your voting power.
  4. Know your Steem, Steem Dollars and Steem Power: Steem and Steem Dollars are the 2 main currencies here. Convert and power up more Steem into Steem Power so you can have higher values on your upvotes.
  5. Have Fun and Enjoy!

Hi Florian, welcome to steemit! I am @ichie1 and I’ll love to see your progress and success here.

Each day holds a surprise. But only if we expect it can we see, hear, or feel it when it comes to us. Let's not be afraid to receive each day's surprise, whether it comes to us as sorrow or as joy It will open a new place in our hearts, a place where we can welcome new friends and celebrate more fully our shared humanity.
