Hello Steemit! Peter here, an IT specialist from Russia

Hey Steemians!

My name’s Peter, and I’m a software engineer (mostly server-side Java / Scala). Besides all things IT, I love travelling (who doesn't these days?), novels, meditation (not very good at it but still), wine and coffee. I live in St Petersburg, Russia:

Now I cannot really call myself a crypto enthusiast as I came across Bitcoin just a year ago and missed many interesting things -- but there's more to come for sure. It's fascinating to see how the world is being changed every day by all those seemingly tiny, geeky projects. Now they call the 10-years-old Facebook "old school" -- how crazy is that?

As for blogging, I felt like starting for about two years now, but blogging itself did not motivate me enough. So when I came across Steemit that was it — the decisive push to start. Now it’s not just about submitting my thoughts and ramblings to the cyberspace, but also about helping to shape up some new and exciting technology. Thanks Steemians for making this happen! This surely is going to be a fun and interesting ride.
